Service charge free option Demand draft Pay at the visa application centre Service charge free option You may visit any of the Sampath Bank branches listed below to pay your visa application fee. There is no charge for this payment service. The bank will issue a demand draft in favour of the British High Commission which will be valid for 6 months from the date of issue. You should submit your visa application within this 6 month period. You must attend the bank in person with your original passport. In the case of a family, one of the applicants can visit the branch along with the original passports of all the family members applying for the visa. Please bring the demand draft with you to the visa application centre when you submit your visa application. Demand draft You can pay the visa application fee by getting a demand draft from any bank in favour of "The British High Commission" payable in Colombo. Bank charges for this service will vary. Please bring the demand draft with you to the visa application centre when you submit your visa application. Pay at the visa application centre You can pay the visa application fee in Cash at the visa application center when you submit your visa application. The Deutsche Bank facilities are located at the visa application center for fee collection. A service charge of Rs.500 (inclusive of taxes) for this facility will be applicable. Important: Dependants are charged the same fee as the main applicant. All dependants who are travelling must pay the fee whether or not they are included in the main applicant's passport. Refunds: A fee will be refundable only if the application is withdrawn in writing prior to any processing of the application and biometrics have not been taken, or if the applicant refuses to provide biometrics. Refunds will not be given if long term visit visas are granted for less than the period applied for. These fees are effective for all visa applications made from 20 May 2010. The consular rate of exchange is 175 LKR to £1.
