Schedule an Appointment Student Tier 4 appointments Tier 4 student visa applicants are required to make an appointment to attend the visa application centre in Colombo. Currently you may request an appointment if your course begins on or before 30 April 2010 and you hold a valid Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). Appointments will be provided soon for later course start dates. Please note: There is no appointment system for applicants who wish to submit other categories of visa application. How to make an appointment Please send your email request between 08:00 am and 03:00 pm Monday to Friday to: ukstudentcolombo@vfshelpline.com. You will receive a response to your request within 3 working days. You will be allocated the first available appointment. Please print out the email confirming the details of your appointment and bring this with you to the visa application centre. You should reach the visa application centre 5 minutes before your appointment time. What to include in your email When you request an appointment, please ensure that you include the following details in your email: • Name and surname of the applicant. • Passport number. • Visa category. • Contact telephone number. In addition, please include the following information: • CAS reference number. • Course title. • Course start date. • Name of the education provider. The appointment must be made in the name of the applicant who will attend the visa application centre to submit their visa application. It is not possible for appointment details to be changed once made or for another person to attend the visa application centre. You must make 1 request for an appointment only (multiple requests are likely to result in you not receiving an appointment). It is important that the student visa application form is completed fully and all documents are ready before you attend the visa application centre by appointment. Please note: We regret that applicants with an appointment will not be permitted to enter the visa application centre if: • they are late, • the visa application form has not been completed fully or if • there is any difference between the information provided by the applicant at the time of making an appointment and the time of attending the visa application centre. It is not possible to obtain an appointment by visiting or telephoning the visa application centre.
